The beginner workshops are hosted by artist McCrory Skuce, a graduate of AUArts (Alberta University of the Arts).
What you'll take home
Each level targets a core discipline of drawing — value, form, texture, and perspective. Complete Course I (Levels 1-4) for a comprehensive foundation and a portfolio of studies you'll be proud of, then continue straight into Course II (Levels 5-8).
What you'll learn — Levels 1-4
- Level 1 | Value — discover the tools, techniques, and surfaces of drawing while completing a series of value studies.
- Level 2 | Form — learn a simple system that dramatically improves your drawing accuracy.
- Level 3 | Texture — use your tools to render rough, smooth, shiny, furry, and feathery textures.
- Level 4 | Perspective — learn systems to create depth and draw subjects convincingly in perspective.

What our students say
"I've been taking art classes for only a few months at this studio (with very little prior experience in painting) and am thrilled with what I've been able to create with Teresa's guidance."
— Taryn L., Google review
"I love this studio for so many reasons… going at her own pace, guided by the instructors. I can see how much she's learned. I'm feeling inspired myself…"
