Begin your journey as an artist with us. Our art school has 15 years of experience coaching beginners, with instructors with formal art education. Our leveled approach has been refined over the years and is designed to ensure your success as an artist. At each workshop/level you will gain confidence and capability as you complete the series of drawing studies and exercises. No experience needed.

What you'll take home
Each level targets a core discipline of drawing — value, form, texture, and perspective. Part 1 (Levels 1-4) covers the basics. Complete it for a comprehensive foundation and a portfolio of studies you'll be proud of, then continue straight into Part 2 (Levels 5-8) — beyond the basics.

- Level 4 | Perspective — learn systems to create depth and draw subjects convincingly in perspective.

Time: Fridays & Sundays 1:00 – 4:00pm in Studio B · Monday evenings 6:00 – 9:00pm in Studio C (each workshop is 3 hours)
Every course runs four consecutive weeks — no sessions fall on holiday weekends.

Supplies
Supplies
We provide the drawing paper and all the specialty supplies each class needs.
You’ll need a basic drawing kit, and we ask that you bring it with you on workshop days — you’ll use it in every session and for the practice work in between. The recommended supplies are:
- Charcoal, graphite & pastel: willow or vine charcoal, charcoal powder, white and black charcoal pencils, graphite pencils, and white & black chalk pastel.
- Paper: a Bateman pad.
- A vinyl eraser, a mechanical eraser and a sharpener.
If you already own these, bring what you have. If you’d like a few items or a full kit, they’re at the front desk on workshop day — our Beginners Drawing Kit covers the whole list for $88.
Cost — choose your commitment
- $95 — single workshop (one level, one date)
- $360 — Part 1, Levels 1–4 (four workshops) (save $20 vs booking the four singly)
- $630 — Full Course, Levels 1–8 (all eight workshops: Part 1 now, Part 2 the following intake) (save $90 — that's 25% off Part 2)

- Pick your Dates & Times — Late Fall or New Year, on a Friday, Sunday or Monday evening; each single workshop shows its level.
