Begin your journey as an artist with us. Our art school has 15 years of experience coaching beginners, with instructors with formal art education. Our leveled approach has been refined over the years and is designed to ensure your success as an artist. At each workshop/level you will gain confidence and capability as you complete the series of drawing studies and exercises. No experience needed.

What you'll take home
Each level targets a core discipline of drawing — value, form, texture, and perspective. Course I (Levels 1-4) covers the basics. Complete it for a comprehensive foundation and a portfolio of studies you'll be proud of, then continue straight into Course II (Levels 5-8) — beyond the basics.

Time: 1:00 – 4:00pm (each workshop is 3 hours) | Studio B
Every course runs four consecutive weeks — no sessions fall on holiday weekends.

We provide the support you work on — drawing paper — plus any specialty tools the class needs.
You'll need the Beginners Drawing Kit ($88). The kit is required — you'll use it in every workshop and for the practice work between sessions. Purchase it on workshop day, or buy it ahead of time online or in the studio. The kit includes:
- Charcoal, graphite & pastel: willow or vine charcoal, charcoal powder, white and black charcoal pencils, graphite pencils 2H-12B, and white & black chalk pastel.
- Paper: Bateman paper.
- Mechanical eraser, vinyl eraser & sharpener.
Cost — choose your commitment
- $95 — single workshop (one level, one date)
- $360 — full four-workshop course (save $20 vs booking the four workshops singly)
