What you'll take home

Designed with flexibility in mind, you can complete Course I (Levels 1-4) and continue straight into Course II (Levels 5-8) for a well-rounded foundation. You'll complete a variety of small paintings and exercises that lock in each new skill — and leave with the confidence to keep painting at home.

• Level 1 | Colour Theory & Colour Mixing — mix vibrant, accurate colours and understand how they work together.
• Level 2 | Wet Techniques — blend, glaze, and move colour smoothly while the paint is wet.
• Level 3 | Dry Techniques — create texture, detail, and bold marks with drybrush and layering.
• Level 4 | Mixed Techniques — bring it all together into one finished painting.

Fall 2026 — limited seats

Fall courses begin Friday Sept 4 and Sunday Sept 6. Classes are small and semi-private, so seats are limited — reserve your spot today.

Levels 1-4 (choose Fridays or Sundays):

• Fridays | Sept 4-11-18-25, or Oct 30-Nov 6-13-20
• Sundays | Sept 6-13-20-27, or Nov 8-15-22-29

Levels 5-8 — runs in between, so you can continue straight from Course I into Course II:

• Fridays | Oct 2-9-16-23, or Nov 27-Dec 4-11-18
• Sundays | Oct 4-18-25-Nov 1, or Dec 6-13-20-27

Time: 1:00 – 4:00pm (each workshop is 3 hours) | Studio A

No class Sunday Oct 11 (Thanksgiving weekend) or Friday Dec 25 (Christmas Day).

Supplies

A Beginners Acrylic Supply Kit is required for class and home practice; all supports and other supplies are provided in class. The full kit or individual supplies are available for purchase at the desk on workshop day, or you can buy your kit online ahead of time. The kit includes:

• Paints: Phthalo Blue, Cadmium Yellow, Quinacridone Red, Titanium White, and Black.
• Tools: small palette knife, palette paper pad, a variety of flat or filbert brushes, and a script/rigger brush.

$380 per 4-workshop course.
