    A reserved weekly spot at the easel — three hours at a time, semi-private guidance, all levels welcome, in our NW Calgary studio.

    Fall term starts the week after Labour Day. Tuesdays begin September 8, Wednesdays September 9, Thursdays September 10, Fridays September 11, Saturdays September 12 and Mondays September 14 (we're closed Labour Day) — running to just before Christmas. The full season continues through June.

    Adults pay exactly what our children's and teen students pay. The difference is the clock: every adult class runs a full three hours — double the length of a kids' class. Same price, twice the time at the easel.

    That's $238 less than paying month by month across the same ten months, and your easel is held all year long.

    The longer the commitment, the lower the rate — from about $14 an hour month to month down to about $12 an hour on the Season. Late Fall is the on-ramp if you're joining once September is already under way.

    Every day is priced at the same $39.06 per class for the fall — the price simply reflects how many class dates your chosen day actually has. Tuesday and Wednesday have 16 ($625); Thursday, Friday and Saturday have 15 ($586); Monday has 14 ($547), because we're closed Labour Day and Thanksgiving. You never pay for a class you don't get.

    Each class runs a full three hours. Monday starts a week later than the rest because the studio is closed on Labour Day.

    Already partway through September? Month-to-month is always open, and Late Fall (Oct–Dec) gives you a full term from October: 12 classes on every day except Monday, which has 11.

    Want flexibility instead? If a fixed weekly slot doesn't suit your schedule, our pass cards let you buy studio hours and use them whenever you like — no set day, no set time. A reserved slot is the cheapest way to paint here; a pass card costs a little more per hour, and for plenty of people that freedom is worth it. Painting several times a week? Ask us about the Year Unlimited.
    Prefer smaller payments? Subscribe monthly at $171 — it renews automatically, keeps your weekly spot, and you can cancel anytime.
    Show your work this Christmas: members are invited to exhibit finished work in Christmas at the Grasby Art Cellar, our studio-wide Christmas show — opening night Friday, December 11, with live music and food, and the show hanging in our Art Cellar gallery through the holidays into the new year. Hang it, sell it, or simply see it framed and lit on a gallery wall.
    Our promise: you're never locked in. If life stops cooperating with your weekly slot, we'll move you to a flexible pass card — your unused classes are credited toward it, and you start at our best 20-hour rate. Nothing you've paid for is ever lost.

    Holidays & Make-Ups

    We're closed Labour Day (Sept 7) and Thanksgiving (Oct 12), and for the winter break from Dec 24 to Jan 3 — classes resume the week of Jan 4, 2027. Classes do run on Sept 30 and Nov 11. Every day's price already reflects its own number of dates, so there's nothing to make up — but if you miss a class, you're welcome to take it in any other timeslot that week. Just let us know at the desk.
