Kids Art Classes in NW Calgary (Bowness) — Ages 7–11

Weekly drawing and painting classes for children ages 7–11, September to June

Since 2011, Grasby Art Studio has taught drawing and painting to children in Bowness, NW Calgary. Our kids’ program is for young artists who love making art, want to try new techniques and want to see their work improve. Each 90-minute class gives your child personal instruction and encouragement from instructors with formal art education, while they build real skills in drawing and painting and pursue subjects they care about. Eleven-year-olds are welcome in either the kids or the teen classes — parents can decide which suits their child better.

All supplies are included: acrylic, watercolour, charcoal, graphite, pen, markers and chalk pastel. Children are encouraged to take care and pride in their work, and every term ends with pieces worth framing.

When classes run

  • Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 4:15 pm and 6:00 pm
  • Saturdays at 10:30 am, 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm
