Spend an evening in the Art Cellar where music meets art. Award-winning, Banff-born, Calgary-based singer-songwriter Irene Poole performs her nature-inspired indie-folk live, surrounded by a curated exhibition of mountain & seascape paintings by local Calgary artists — all inspired by the themes of her debut album, The Mountains and The Sea.
About the artist Irene's hopeful lyrics and angelic melodies have earned her the 2025 YYC Music Awards Emerging Artist honour and a Folk Recording of the Year nomination, while her debut album The Mountains and The Sea reached #13 on the CKUA charts. In 2025 alone she took the stage 75+ times, from the Canmore Folk Music Festival to ArtsPlace.
