Mixed Media Painting Workshop Calgary | Night Sky Silhouettes

Discover how to create compelling atmospheric night time compositions in this mixed media workshop. You'll work with liquid acrylics, paint pens, and chalk pastels to build atmospheric compositions that capture light and shadow with sophistication. Learn to position silhouettes—whether human figures, trees, wildlife, or architectural elements—as powerful compositional anchors that draw the viewer's eye and tell a story. 

You will learn techniques for:

• planning a composition
• creating moonlit starry skies & celestial glow
• drawing silhouettes
• balancing tonality and casting light on silhouette forms
• balancing value and colour temperature
• By workshop's end, you'll have created an original work in mixed media
