Grasby Art Studio Fall Show and Sale 2026 — Call for Submissions
Our annual Fall Show and Sale is open to every adult member and instructor at Grasby Art Studio — past and present, from first-term beginners to working artists. A small number of guest artists show with us each year by personal invitation from Teresa.
This is not a juried or curated show. If you paint or draw with us, there is a place for your work on the wall.
Children's and teen artists: our young artists have a show of their own. Work from the children's and teen classes is exhibited at Christmas at the Grasby Art Cellar, opening Friday, December 11 — no submission needed, every student shows finished work.
Please review the following guidelines before submitting.
Exhibition Details
- Opening celebration: Friday, October 16, 6:00–9:00 pm. Refreshments, music, and the awards announcements.
- Opening night only — the whole building is hung. On Friday, October 16 the show fills the main studio, the Art Garden, and the Art Cellar Gallery. The studio and Art Garden are cleared the next morning so classes can run as usual.
- Second day: Saturday, October 17, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm — the Art Cellar Gallery is open to the public.
- Work may be shown for exhibition only, or offered for sale.
- Commission: all gallery sales are subject to a 30% commission.

Who Can Show
- Adult members of Grasby Art Studio — anyone who has taken part, past or present.
- Our instructors.
- Invited guest artists.
What to Send Us
- Your connection to the studio: the year(s) and type of activity (for example: Adult Monthly Membership, Mountain Palette Knife Workshops, Mother's Day Event, Action Art, Paint Night), or that you teach with us.
- Images: digital images of the work you would like to show (JPEG, 300 DPI minimum). These may include work made at Grasby Art in classes, workshops, paint nights and Action Art, or in your own home studio.
- List of artwork details: for each piece, please list artist name, title, medium, dimensions, price or NFS (not for sale), and whether the work is (R) ready to hang or to be presented on an (E) easel.
How to Submit
- Email your images and list to info@grasbyartstudio.com
- Subject line: "Fall Show and Sale Submission — [Your Name]"
- Include your full contact details.
- Please let us know what you are bringing before you bring it in, so we can plan the wall space.
Timeline
- Submissions close: Friday, September 25, 2026. Submissions are reviewed as they arrive, so earlier is better.
- Confirmations sent: Friday, October 2, by email, with your hanging details.
- Drop-off: Monday, October 5 – Friday, October 9, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
- Opening night: Friday, October 16, 6:00–9:00 pm.
- Pick-up: work hung in the main studio and Art Garden comes down after Friday night — please collect it on Saturday, October 17, between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. Pick-up for work in the Art Cellar Gallery will be confirmed by email.
Registration Fee
- A $50 registration fee covers participation in the opening celebration on October 16 and inclusion in the Art Cellar Gallery show and sale.
- The fee is payable at the time you drop your work off.
