Continue your artistic journey with the excellent beginner acrylic painting workshops offered at Grasby Art Studio bi-monthly throughout the year.  Further your knowledge of painting techniques in levels 5-8. These workshops are perfect for beginners who have completed Levels 1-4 or have learned some basic acrylic painting techniques.  This 4-class series builds on the wet, dry, and mixed techniques learned in Levels 1-4, while introducing additional techniques that are used to render specific subjects of art, namely: landscapes, skies, floral, still life, animals, buildings, etc.   

📚 Course Structure:

In levels 5-8 you will focus on one subject area each workshop and explore techniques specific to that subject.   We will begin to introduce you to the fundamentals that are considered when creating finished works of art.  These fundamentals include: composition, form, perspective, focal area, value balance, colour and mark harmony.

• Colour theory and colour mixing techniques
• Mark Making Techniques specific to each subject of art
• Proper brush handling and palette management
