Beginners Acrylic Painting Course - Level 1,2,3,4,5

Join our acrylic painting course for beginners. In this course you will:

LEARN colour theory
DISCOVER an effective colour mixing method
UNDERSTAND the tools and supports used in acrylic painting.
BUILD acrylic painting skills and knowledge of wet, dry, and impasto techniques.
CREATE a series of acrylic paintings.
PROGRESS at your own pace. Take one, or all four classes as a course over the fall, winter and spring.

TAKE 1, 2, 3 or all 5 levels. Take them as a compressed course or take them at your own pace over the fall, winter, and spring!

LEVEL 1 - Colour Theory & Mixing

In level 1, you will learn about the acrylic paints, tools, mediums, and the supports available to acrylic artists. You will also come to understand colour theory, and learn an effective colour mixing method.

LEVEL 2 - Techniques I

In level 2, you will learn how to use a variety of wet acrylic painting techniques to create a series of small acrylic paintings. You will learn how to use your tools to create a variety of soft effects and textures.

LEVEL 3 - Techniques II

In level 3, you will learn about the tools involved in dry brush and impasto painting. You will use a variety of tools to create a variety of heavy effects and textures using brush and palette knife.

LEVEL 4 - Techniques III

In level 4, you will learn how to layer and combine acrylic painting techniques fat of lean. A variety of wet and dry effects will be used in the same painting.

LEVEL 5 - Techniques IV

In level 5, you will learn how to layer and combine acrylic painting techniques fat of lean. A variety of soft and heavy effects will be used in the same painting.
