Demonstrated Painting Classes

Join our demonstrated classes on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday afternoons 12:30 - 3:30pm. In these demonstrated classes you will:

ATTEND one 3 hour class
CREATE a finished work of art in one sitting.
DISCOVER new drawing and painting techniques.
FOLLOW along step-by-step with your instructor.
MIX paint colours using our effective method
LEARN to work quickly and loosely.

Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, 12:30-3:30pm
Supplies are included.

STEPS 1, 2, 3

Step 1 - Underpainting

Each demostration begins with the underpainting for the project. The underpainting sets the mood and tonality for the artwork.

Step 2 - Composition

Next we consider the composition and large shapes. Big shapes and shadows are blocked in.

Step 3 - Details

Various mid-tones and highlights are layered in using various techniques to create the desired light, tones, & textures.
