Impasto Poppy Painting Workshops

Join our impasto workshops for beginner to intermediate artists. In this workshop you will:

CREATE an impasto poppy painting
LEARN how to use palette knives to create poppy texture.
INTEGRATE Impasto gel into your paint
LAYER your paint, fat over lean.

A basic kit is required

Four dates are allocated to impasto painting. All 4 sessions are recommended to make a feature wall painting.

Part 1 - Composition

In part 1, you will create a background for the poppies and layout a poppy composition.

Part 2 - Foreground forms

In part 2, you will create impasto texture from shadows, to midtones.

Part 3 & 4 - Details

In part 3, you will use impasto techniques to layer in highlight texture and finishing details.
