Reflection Painting Workshop

Join our series of workshops to learn how to paint reflections in water. In these workshops you will:

LEARNtechniquesto paint the reflections of trees, mountains and build objects.
CREATE glassy reflective layers
PRACTICE acrylic layering and glazing techniques
CREATE a large feature wall painting
PROGRESS at a relaxed pace
CHOOSE to attend some, or all, of the available dates

Part 1 - Underpainting

In part 1, you will create a glassy reflective underpainting for your piece. You will learn to glaze and layer your paint to create a watery reflection.

Part 2 - Composition

In part 2, you will lay out an original canoe composition for your piece. You will learn to draw the canoes with correct perspective and proportions.

Part 3 - Detail

In part 3, you will layer your canoe shadows, midtones, and highlights.

Part 4 - Detail

In part 4, you will balance your tones and values, and learn methods to add finishing reflective glazes.
