CLOSED REMEMBERANCE DAY
Attendance is open and yours to design. Drop-in and start your first project. Attend as a drop-in, monthly, seasons pass holder. You may attend intermittently, weekly, or more.
How to Begin?
Pick a subject of personal interest. You can make art about hobbies and special interests, people, animals, or places. If it important to you, it will be a great subject for art. Print your images and bring them along to class. We also have a large reference library and can help you pick a subject.
There are many mediums to learn. Our staff are knowledgeable about process and will guide you through the steps and techniques. Once you have chosen a medium your instructor will discuss the style or genre options (i.e realism, impressionism, abstraction, etc.).
You may attend as a drop-in student or monthly member. Before you register you should decide if you want to have your supplies included in your fees or if you want to bring your own supply kit. Next you will need to pick a timeslot for your class. You may pick up missed classes in an alternative timeslot.
What do students say about Grasby's?
"Teresa Grasby is an exceptional teacher. I’m in my second mountain palette workshop and I’ll definitely attend more. What I really appreciate about Teresa is she makes sure each person’s needs are addressed and encourages individual learning and creation - which makes each work unique. Attend one of Teresa’s workshops - you’ll be glad you did!" Carol Schmick
"Grasby is a fabulous place to learn. The studio is bright and generous in space with all the materials you need at your fingertips. The instruction is bar none and although there may be other students in the studio, Teresa spends a good amount of time with every individual to feel you are having a private lesson. Teresa shares brilliant techniques, is enthusiastic, and obviously loves doing her job. She makes a beginner like myself want to return and explore the art of art!" Elizabeth Kohut
"Wow! How very nervous and scared I was when ….. years ago….. I first stepped foot in Grasby Studio. I was truly Gob-smacked as I looked around at the awe inspiring paintings that Theresa had created! Years later; I pinch myself for being part of this creative world! Best analogy to describe Theresa….a dancer…..the choreographer…..striking and inventive, moving around the studio with panache, from one student to another sharing her expertise, her talent……reassuring and supportive. Grasby Art studio, I have been and will continue to be a permanent fixture until you close your doors (hopefully decades from now)!!" Annette Bard
