WORKSHOP - DRAWING - Level 1, 2, and 3

Join us for our progressive series of drawing workshops: levels 1, 2, and 3.   These workshops are designed to teach you the fundamentals of drawing and provide you with a system for success.  You may choose the level appropriate for you. You may attend any, or all, of these workshops at your own pace.  There are many dates available throughout the fall / winter season (listed below).  Levels 1 and 2 may be taken in one day.

LEVEL 1 is intended for beginners.  In level 1, we will review the mediums, tools, and primary methods that are used in the discipline of drawing.  We will explore the drawing fundamentals of tone, value, texture, line, and form.  We will create a series of drawing exercises to explore these fundamentals.

LEVEL 2  focuses on improving the accuracy of your drawing.  Whether it be reference drawing, en plein air drawing, or drawing from life, knowing an effective drawing system will improve your results. You will learn our drawing system that can be applied to drawing a wide variety of subjects including: still life, bicycles, figures, hands, faces, street perspectives, animals, gardens, houses, and more.

LEVEL 3 is intended for intermediate artists.  The principles learned in levels 1 and 2 will be used to draw a figure from life.  The model will start with a series of short poses for gesture drawing and mass drawings.   This will be followed by a long pose where artists may use wet or dry mediums.
